Victory Secured

This chapter in Romans is packed with hope; we have hope in the Holy Spirit, hope in our status as adopted Children of God, hope in the salvation of Jesus Christ, hope in eternity, hope that is showered upon us generously by our Abba. This hope came at a price, and we, as Christians, were never promised our walk would be without suffering. The difference is we suffer with hope. It is when we lose sight of the end of our story that despair can overwhelm us. And, sometimes, those valleys of suffering are so deep and long that it is easier to focus on the darkness than strain to see the light. Never forget your Father, your Savior, and the Holy Spirit are right there with you. Let their love wash over you in your suffering; praise them in your darkness. Then, slowly, the light will diffuse the darkness before your dawn, and you will begin to see, but just enough for the next step…and the next… to victory already secured!
God is GOOD ~ ALL the time!
