Sock Praises!

It is funny the memories that can pop up out of nowhere. This verse reminded me of an insight I had YEARS ago while cleaning the house. I was picking up what seemed like dozens of socks. Socks on the floor, socks behind the toilet, socks ON the table, and, John’s personal favorite, socks rolled into a tight ball because apparently, we didn’t have enough balls in the house! I remember being very annoyed by this exercise, especially when I would shake them out and hear half the playground’s sand scattering all over the floor. Ugggg! But during that time, I remember being nudged that I should be thankful for the little (and big) feet who wore those socks. And I should be grateful that we had enough money to purchase PLENTY of socks. And I should be thankful that I had a washing machine in which to wash those socks. Before I knew it, I was having an all-out house cleaning praise fest! I have never forgotten that day and how one little shift in perspective can make all the difference. This lesson continues to teach me that even in the most mundane aspects of our lives, we can choose to praise and glorify God.
God is GOOD ~ ALL the time!
