See His Light
“Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so…” This is a song many believers grew up singing, and trust in its words was foundational in their faith. That was not my story. I was not raised in an environment of faith. Quite the opposite, actually. However, as far back as I can remember, there was a sense that something was missing. I think God’s love calls to that empty place in our hearts, in our souls, where He alone is meant to reside. His love beckons and creates an irrefutable longing that cannot be ignored, or squelched, or filled by anything other than God Himself, although many spend their lives trying. There existed points of light and love in my life, people who reflected God’s love to me and drew me closer to Him. I am forever thankful for those people and that God gave me the eyes to see His love through them. I know, with everything that I am, that the story of my life might look a lot different had I tried to stifle the calling of my Father, who loved me before time was created.
God is GOOD ~ ALL the time!
