Overflowing

I stumbled while carrying my too-full cup of coffee and was faced with the clean-up from every surface within a five-foot radius. It managed to hit the floor, the cabinets, the counter, the microwave, the fridge…I found sticky places I had missed for days! This verse reminded me of that incident. My mug was full of coffee, so when it was bumped, coffee spilled out. It made me wonder how I react when life hits rough spots or even when navigating the everyday challenges of living in this world. What spills out of me? Do I leave sweet or sour residue in my wake? It seems fairly logical that what I am filled with is what will pour out. Hope in, hope out! Joy in, joy out! Or, bitterness in, bitterness out! Anger in, anger out! This is why I have become so intentional about keeping my morning appointment with God. It is my time of refilling before facing the day; a time to be immersed in His Word and the promises therein. He is always faithful to meet me there. ALWAYS! I am FAR from perfect and so thankful that every day we are given the opportunity to grow more and more into the likeness of our Savior while being showered with His never-ending grace!

God is GOOD ~ ALL the time!
