Equipped
My cousin Kristen recently went skydiving. That is an experience that I am perfectly happy to have participated in vicariously through her video. However, I would imagine what she felt before, during, and after her jump is almost indescribable to others who have not felt the need to leave perfectly safe airplanes. There are some things you have to experience for yourself to grasp fully. I still remember the first hesitant breaths taken under 10 feet of water in my SCUBA class and the fear and exhilaration of speaking in front of a large crowd at a Nursing Convention; how do you describe riding rollercoasters or being in love?!
I also remember what it is like to grieve with the hope and peace that can only come when your heart is held by your Savior, by the Creator of the universe, by your Father in heaven. It is nearly impossible to describe the beauty that can be found in such a dark place. It is hard to convey the peace of surrender until you let go and yield to your Savior.
Our Father made way for us to be able to walk with Him every step of our lives. Not just in the valleys when life hits hard or on the mountaintops when praise flows with every breath. Oh, He certainly wants to be in those places, but He also wants to hear you giggle when you find hearts and feathers on the journey! He wants to lead you to your lost keys and the perfect parking space…at Walmart…on a Saturday. He loves to see that happy-wiggles dance! Your Savior also wants to lead you to others who need to be held. He wants you to be a conduit for His love and light in this world. It can be scary and overwhelming, but He will equip you with all you need to glorify Him every day of your life.
God is GOOD ~ ALL the time!
