Dancing Shoes

First of all, we are created in the image of God with the ability to hope and dream and plan. However, we were not given the ability to see into the future; that is where faith and surrender jump onto the agenda. I believe the closer I walk with the Lord, the more I am in tune with His will and the times that He might nudge me one way or another. Haven’t you ever abandoned the to-do list because of some “chance” encounter only to discover afterward it was the answer to an unspoken prayer? The closer you walk with God, the more available you are to Him, and the more you are willing to surrender to His will, the more you will appreciate and recognize His providence in your life. Maybe God is using a chance encounter with you or me to bless someone else? How cool is that?! The “To God be the Glory” happy dance would ensue!! However, if I don’t make myself available to be used by Him on my journey, it will be an opportunity lost for me. God will make a way to achieve His goals with or without you or me, but we miss out on so many blessings He has planned for us along the way. So today, plan loosely and listen for Him, and maybe wear your dancing shoes!
