Grateful Feet

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). The Greek word “Pistis” is where both faith and belief are derived. They are synonymous. I would say that both faith and belief are ineffective in spreading the Gospel without trust.
Let’s say I am on a tightrope between two skyscrapers in New York City on a very foggy day. I am told there is a net below, but I cannot see it. I have faith in the net-people; they have a 5-star rating in net assembly on Google. Suddenly, halfway to my destination, a strange wind comes out of nowhere, and I am told to abandon the crossing and jump. That takes trust.
While faith is held closely in my heart and head, impacting me and my walk tremendously, giving ME life, it is displayed to the world through my trust. Trusting in God’s goodness and sovereignty through every hill and valley of my life glorifies Him to the world. Trust gives my faith the feet it needs to carry my Father’s message from my heart outward; His perfect message on my very grateful feet.
God is GOOD ~ ALL the time!
