Pure in Heart
Jesus speaks these words in the Sermon on the Mount. They remind us that God is not interested in all of the external factors of our lives; God is concerned with our hearts. When you understand all that God did for you, and when you accept that gift with open hands, then your heart changes. If only it were a “one and done” miraculous transformation! Maybe that is how it works for some people, but for me, this is a daily process of surrendering to God and allowing Him to shape and mold me from the inside out. It is not always the most pleasant process, but it is always worth it. I think this is why I love David so much! He asks God time and time again, throughout the psalms, to work on his heart, as he sought hard after the heart of God. Seek, surrender, and be changed today.
God is GOOD ~ ALL the time!
